How green is my family’s carbon footprint ? – 13 Nov 2008

This was held (by invitation) at the Overseas Family School premises for the Primary 3 (8 yr) children. The objective was to enhance their green IQ during a standard 45 min class session.

Since the children were pre-familiar with green concepts and terms, this Green Dots session was aimed at bridging their gaps in understanding while helping them construct a holistic picture through an interactive Q & A accompanied by a multimedia presentation.

The grand finale was using an online carbon calculator to deconstruct a std electricity bill, modify input parameters based on lifestyle choices and see a difference in terms of outcome (tones of carbon produced).

From the feedback received, it is apparent that these children have adopted and influenced lifestyle changes in their families.
